Dick Loffer
got involved with the Bethany Center two years ago when helping prepare food for the lunch time meal. Dick currently works two days a week at the food pantry assisting members of the community and receiving food. Dick finds this work very rewarding and stated that the reason he does it, is to serve the Lord.
Dick Loffer is also involved in Scouting for the Miami Valley area. Dick started his love of scouting 30 years ago with his son and has continued to do it to help young boys grow into responsible citizens through scouting. Dick shared many stories of the joys and sorrows that accompany working with young people throughout the years.
Dick continues with the scouting and in February of this past year took several youth camping in the cold winter air. Dick, along with other scouting leaders, teach these young boys how to deal with numerous situations in life. Dick received numerous awards for his work in scouting, though the greatest reward he thinks is teaching something to the younger generation.
We would like to thank Dick for the many hats that he wears in the community that expres his faith in God and put that faith into action. Dick is an extension of St.John's in the community.
