History of St. John
1926
Deborah Class organized.
1929
Women given the right to vote during congregational meetings.
December 1940
Congregation membership was over 300 adults.
1946
First Candlelight Christmas Eve Service.
1947
Women's Circles were formed.
1962
Members numbered 630 and space was needed.
1964
Educational Wing was completed.
March 18, 1990
St. John's celebrated 100 years.
1992
St. John's experienced a drop in membership.
May 14, 1998
Pastor Michael Easton left to accept a call in Englewood, Ohio.
May 1999
Construction was started on the Sanctuary Renovation/Handicap Accessibility Project.
Summer 1999
Pastor Skelly was called and installed as our tenth pastor
October 31, 1999
Rededication Service. Membership moved back into the sanctuary following the remodeling.
