Grace and Peace to you from our Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ! WOW! Its fall already and one must ask where did the summer go? September is a time when the weather starts to get a little cooler and you notice that the leaves are starting to change. We know that things will be back in full swing with school, church, sports, and planning for the holidays already!

Before all that hits us I would like to share a few words with you from our Bishop. He stated to me that he was very pleased with what is going on at St.John’s and pleased with me as your pastor. I felt very happy to hear that. I have great respect for Bishop Holloway and I appreciated his words very much. It is nice to know that our congregation is being noticed for being a church that is on the move. I have shared with you in the past that I have had so many positive comments from other local pastors and such but the Bishops words rang like joy to me.

Another person whose opinion I value a great deal is Wilma Earl from the Bethany Center. She recently shared with me that they thought they would have to close the food pantry for the month of August because of a food shortage, but thanks in great deal to St. John’s the shelves were stocked and the pantry remained open. I was so excited to hear this. Robert and I were bringing food that day and helping Wilma stock up when she mentioned it. What a blessing to hear that we enabled people to have food on their tables for another month.

I also would like to thank the congregation personally for your support during my mothers health issues. It is hard for me to be in two places at the same time and I so appreciate your support and care. I would also like to thank the individual that sent my mother a card in Michigan. She was so pleased to be thought of even though she is not one of our members.

We have a lot going for ourselves at St.John’s and I am so pleased with all of you and your continued efforts to be faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in your servant hood. I want you to know that God see our efforts and is blessing us for living as he has called us to do.

We will have a busy year this year and it will be filled with many activities that can cause us to forget about the good we are doing.

I just wanted you to hear what others are saying and say thank you to you all for being such great witnesses to those around you!!
